Well, I have a long list of reasons he would not make a good doctor or scientist.
Here are ten:
1.) He argues that you are wrong before checking.
2.) Selfish.
3.) Unobservant.
4.) Doesn't follow tenets of the scientific method.
5.) Argues that subjectivism is better than objectivity.
6.) Feelings centric.
7.) Squeamish.
8.) Doesn't try to discover things or figure stuff out scientifically.
9.) Doesn't study or practice medicine.
10.) Mocks/attacks suffering of others in front of him (doesn't follow Hippocratic Oath).
Here is something I told him one time that made him fly into a rage:
"Science isn't about feelings or trying to force people to agree with you. It's about observation and using what you learn to solve problems."
Some reasons I am okay at it:
1.) I get recognition from people for my competency in genetics (+ to a slightly lesser extent chemistry) and have gotten a few job offers from biotech recruiters for after I obtain my degrees (they said my ideas were good and just the kind of thinking they liked to have for people in their R&D departments).
2.) I synthesize what I learn to look at it in new directions.
3.) I apply it towards real world solutions.
4.) I study and practice medicine.
5.) I'm not squeamish about blood or other bodily fluids and body parts.
6.) I don't mock or attack the pain of others (when it is from illness or injury).
